How about just having one sticky at the top ?

a "FAQ"

It can have all the basic info, and links to all the 'stickies' that would otherwise be stuck at the top. the threads could carry on forever - linked from the faq - with just the occasional bump, when someone posts, rather than be 'stuck' to the top.

They wouldn't be 'lost' because they would be in the FAQ

just an idea ....

Seems a good idea. One sticky with links to how to develop B&W, C41, E6. How to load a 35mm tank how to do do wet prints. All on one page... I was wondering how to maintain "a how to develop this type of film thread" without having duplicate (or even different) instructions for common processes. And if the knowledge is already out there (say a youtube video demonstrating how to), then include links.

It could be a great resource!

Dare I say? Stickies always seem like a great idea, we all talk about it, decide its a great idea, make the sticky and then the next day field 845 questions that would easily have been answered by the sticky because the newbies didn't read them.......
