Any good lawyers on the forums.

Yesterday we had our groceries delivered by a well known store. The driver had loaded the 3 boxes one on top of the other and onto his trolley. When he arrived at the door he lifted the boxes off and placed them (one on top of the other) in the open doorway but balancing across the threshold strip. My wife went to take the grocery out of the top box and without touching the box they all toppled over onto her resulting in a badly gashed leg. We then had to spend 6 hours in A&E getting it seen to. Last night she was very poorly, vomitting and feeling very ill.
We will now be looking to make a claim off the store for injury's and upset.

Not sure about good lawyers but plenty of "lawyers" here. ;)

Have you contacted the store?
Yes the driver went back to the store and reported the accident and I have spoken to the store.

If you are considering legal action, best not speak to the store before speaking to solicitors.

Perhaps speak to your local CAB.......before accepting anything the store say???

My mother in law was injured in Asda when a crate of bananas fell over and gashed her leg.
She received £4k compensation. She wasn't seriously injured or ill etc, but the gash was bad and took months to heal.
She used a company called Digby Brown for her claim. They are a Scottish legal firm.
Asda were terrible. They lost the accident report. They also lost the details of a witness.

Disaster ..... Oh dear.
Follow the A&E advice on wound care. It will probably be fine before very long.
If A&E did not give advice then your lawyer can sue them too !! ............... :exit:
