Digital voice recorder on the cheap

Hope it's okay to talk about this here, it is video related..

Looking for an external recorder to test out some ideas I'm having, don't really want to spend more than £100.. Currently looking at the Tascam DR 05.

Any other suggestions?

Most smart phones will have a feature like that.

I use a Phillips Voice Tracer digital dictaphone. Picked up a BNWTB one from ebay for £15.

prefer not to use phone, I had looked into it but decided against.
