dont worry guys im chilled as a can of bud and decided to move on to another thread

That is the most difficult question you could ask Photomad.

I use a Canon .... Others use Nikon .... Some use other brands.

We nearly all think our brand is best.

Cameras are just the begining ..... Then you have to get some good lenses.

mmmmmmmmm
thats really why ive put off buying one cause i know it wont stop there

It's true, but if you buy carefully, you'll be able to sort yourself out no problems.

Digital Depot had a good Olympus offer on recently too - although I detest the focus by wire used in their lenses.

Cheers,
James

Best advice would be to go into a camera shop and try a few out to see which you like the feel of.

Then come back home and search for the best deal on the ones you like on the net.

Get yourself a cheap Canon 350D or Nikon D50 with Kit lens of ebay. You wont regret going with either of these brands when you start looking at accessories and lenses.

maybe i put a few pound back here and there and think about it

cheers for help

I quite like it as it is speed sensitive - ie turn it slowly for fine adjustment, or turn it fast and it's whip right to the other end of the focus.

It also offers live view, which many people thought was gimiky, but can be very useful for composing group shots etc, and now canon have put it in there flagship model
