Hello folks, this might be a bit of a dumb question but despite searching I havn't been able to find an answer to this!
The girlfriend was kind enough to supply me with a set of Manfrotto 190ProB tripod legs for Christmas and I've pretty much decided to go for a Manfrotto ball head (probably the 488) to complete the package, but the function of the different quick plates are confusing me
onders:
Basicly, is there a significant photographic function difference between the different RC quick release plates on Manfrotto tripod heads? I'm guessing part of it is sizeing e.g larger plate for bigger lenses, but what's the advantages of having a hexagonal plate (RC0) opposed to a rectangular plate (RC2) or vice versa? :confused-
