Not that I can see. There doesn't seem any good reason to buy the GF version.

I suppose Mr Fong would claim he did the R&D

Lambency is a (pretty much identical) copy of Fong. Apparently he's getting them shut down citing a patent violation, so enjoy them while you can!

Better put a bulk order in then !

Research & Development (he designed it)

Hmmm, are you sure he didn't just stick a yoghourt pot on top of a flash? ;)

R&D my hairy ***

Gimmicks will always be gimmicks...

Nothing like basic tools - they don't cost an arm and a leg either.

What's this twin lens issue thingy, how does that work?

The fong yog pot, for all it's outrageous pricing, is by far and away the best little diffuser on the market.

You can of course make much the same out of next to nothing if you're so inclined but it is good. At his prices though he deserves to lose sales to a reasonably priced copy. :)

I'm assured that a cut down 1 litre plastic milk bottle does much the same job.

I haven't tried it - I don't think I could live with the embarrassment. By the time you've produced a DSLR, a large flashgun and a fong-type diffuser in the company of non-togs, you are already getting sympathetic looks and enquires about whether you need to have your medication reviewed, so, stick a milk bottle on top of that and the guys in white coats would be dragging you away.:cuckoo:

What you do in the privacy of your own home however ..... :naughty:

Must agree but just curious as to why those guys should NOT drag you off to the looney bin for sporting the original item in public?

:rules:
