I think people try out new sites and tell their friends from the other site they were on. I still use more then just this site, no doubt others here do too. I find all the sites I've been on equally friendly apart from one which wasn't a photography site, they all seems to be a bit... well we won't go there. I don't think this is the butterfly effect where a few go then everyone follows just like Joe says new users of cameras trying to learn new tricks. Do people stay that is the question

its such a long time ago i cant remember
but i can tell you (this is an exclusive LOL) that some old old motosport photographer on there wasnt too keen on 'young' upstarts getting accreditation for top notch events when he couldnt.. EH HEM!!
