Devoake Water - access

Tried in landscapes, got no answer, perhaps here will work.

Can folks tell me how rough, steep access to Devoake Water is please?
One of our group has an Achilles tendon injury so distance is OK, but slopes are the killer.

Access from the Birker fell road is via a rough track. Ordinarily I'd say its fine, but there are slopes on it and how that affects your group is another matter. Some people's definition of steep is not the same as mine.

I hear what you say about slopes to one are mountains to another.
