Here's an odd one. Sometimes when I develop a roll of film I notice that some shots are a little under exposed or over exposed. This is after I've gone through the whole phase of dev, bx, fix. Usually I'll give them a tweak in photoshop, but.... Is there anything you can "redo" or "revisit" to get some of the shots right on the negative? Like put them through a bleach, dev, fix, yaddda yadda or something-a-ma-bob?

There are things you can do to improve the prints you get from ropey negs during wet printing.
I don't think there's anything you can do with developed and fixed film...:)

If I dig to the bottom of my memory, Farmers reducer pops up.....nothing else that I can remember.

I'm getting crazy visions of a nutty photographer sticking his film in fertilizer and manure pits

Isn't a drug sold these days as a fertiliser or something. May be, thats the one you need....:lol::lol:

Kodak Farmers Reducer is a hypo-potassium ferricyanide negative reducer.
The chemicals in the packet are used to make two stock solutions. Depending upon the relative amounts of the two stock solutions that are used to make the working solution, Reducer 1 can act either as a sub proportional or as a proportional reducer.

  • A sub proportional reducer removes silver metal from low density areas faster than it does from the high-density areas. This mode of removal increases the negatives contrast.
  • A proportional reducer removes silver metal from both high- and low-density areas at the same rate. This mode of removal improves over-developed negatives. Working solution amounts depend upon the dilution you use.

Wow, cheers guys! I might now just have the solution to recovering a couple of shots.

Thanks
