Im looking at buying this monitor it gets great reviews.
Can anyone tell me the best graphics card I should have in my pc for this monitor?

Cheers Ian

doesnt really matter for 2D work as long as the GPU supports the res of the screen, even the intel onboard gpu should support 2560x1440.

if youre looking for GPU acceleration (very limit in adobe apps) or 3D/video work (gaming, or HD video work) then thats another matter.

the onboard GPU will use a small amount of the system RAM however (wouldn't expect more than 1-2Gb to be allocated), if that bothers you then a fairly inexpensive GPU card will free that back up.

Thanks Neil

Can I ask what pc spec you have?

I use a second-hand NVidia GTX 570 that has 1.5GB VRAM. This easily exceeds the Adobe recommended specification and works perfectly well with my HD monitor. Cost from ebay... £22.00.

Neither Photoshop nor Lightroom rely that heavily on graphics hardware so you don't have to break the bank when buying graphic cards for image editing. If you do play graphics intensive newer games at high frame rates then a expensive graphics card is a total waste of money.
