One of the (few) weaknesses of the 350D for me is the difficulty reading the screen in bright sun. Jessops and other outlets advertise a clip on screen shade at approx £40.
Have any members experience of this product and most important, does it work?
Any info appreciated.

I used it for a while on my 350D and got rid of it in the end as it's a real pain having to open and close it before and after every shot. This in itself is awkward as you pinch in the two side walls and then lower the cover.
I've heard of people who have had the same one and eventually it's one of the hinge pins snapped from opening and closing it so much.

I wouldn't bother to be honest. Save yourself money and just face away from the sun and use your hand.

I was shooting in bright sun shine yesterday and found I could get a pretty good luck at my 350s screen just by cupping my hand around the screen...its not ideal but as Shadow says, I think the shade would cause you more grief than good to be honest.

Thanks for the feedback. It did seem too good to be true - I'll take your advice and give it a miss:nono:
