Most of my current work is corporate - so images get proofed on a secure no frills site and then delivered by WeTransfer or self hosted zip.

Yesterday I shot a party for a friend so want a different way of delivering images. I could just WeTransfer them but wanted a page guests could open and see a nice selection of images, move around, enjoy and then d/l whatever they want. Ideal would be export print res out of LR run some stuff and it builds a performant website with built in hosting. Bonus if the hosting lasts ages so they can link to the FB etc and it's still there in a year.

What's good and free right now?

I pay for pixieset, but there is a free option with website ,check out the limitations on free though.

Guests create favourites list, buy prints through loxley, download for free or can be priced.

Gallery can be passworded, and the client gets a PIN to be able to download all.

I started to build a website using pixieset, but I just never got round to finishing it and probably shouldn't post the preview link incase Google indexes it.

You could also set up a free Flickr site and everyone could download what they wanted - you can put up small low res pics etc.

That was my backup plan :) I haven't used Flickr in a l-o-n-g time but figured a private gallery would be OK.

I like the idea that people can buy pics from Pixieset without me doing anything at all.

Just a quick update: I went with Pixieset. 5 mins to set up, another 5 or so to install the Lightroom Publish plugin. Drag pics to the Collection and hit publish. 15 mins later I'm getting Whatsapp messages saying how much they love the pictures :D

Quick, easy and really quite lovely.
