How long does this take!???!?!?!?

I started one this morning at 11am.... 6 hours ago, and its still going How long will it take? I have Vista, about 400 GB's of hard drive. I did go through the add and remove programs last night and remove a load of stuff, but jeez I didnt think it would take this long!

My Vista used to take 6hours to boot up thanks to a recent "Update" so count yourself lucky!

I usually do mine over night and they are done by the morning...250GB.

It depends on when you last defragged the drive. If you've never done it then the first can take hours. Now that you've done it try and do it each week or schedule the task. Mine is set to defrag every Tuesday @ 8pm and it only takes a few minuets.
