I used to own few compact cameras in the past including canon s110, sony rx100 mk1 and canon g7x. I sold all of them as at that time I thought that I preferred the convenience of a mobile phone. However, over the last 1-2 years I am simply not satisfied with the mobile phone photos, as they are looking to me overly processed and hdr. I keep coming back to images from the above cameras and they seem to be much more natural, with a character.
Saying that, the prices of compact cameras seem to have sky-rocketed to absolutely st***d levels. I sold my canon s110 circs 5 years ago for £100. Now I would be lucky to find one for £200!
Therefore, can you recommend a less popular (cheaper?) compact but with a similar build and image quality to canon s110? Also, it needs to be on a small side.
