I'm in the market to buy a lightbox for a product photography requirement I've got coming up and was wondering what to get?

I'm very conscious that I don't want to spend a huge amount but at the same time I don't want to be buying cheap to buy twice etc.

Any advice on a suitable bit of kit?..... big enough to fit small to medium objects in?

Get a piece of A3 white paper. Roll it into a fat tube, sellotape the ends together. Place on a table close to a big bright window. Put product inside. Cut a big enough slot to shoot through. Experiment with putting another sheet of flat paper across the top. If you want a more directional light you can shade parts of the paper surface, place black A4 cards inside, and fire a flashgun at part of the outside of the tube, the closer the sharper the light. Cheap, simple, surprisingly effective.

How big is small to medium? How long do you want it to last for? There are lots of cheap pop up light tents on eBay and Amazon. Nothing wrong with Chris's suggestion in his post of course.

Something that will handle items no bigger probably that about 30cm in any direction.
I like the diy option but to be fair I'd want something that can travel and be set up and taken down with the minimum of fuss.
I like the look of one of the lastolite cubelite- does anyone have any experience of those?
