Daughter now has her very first DSLR. A nice Canon 500D with kit lens. Thing is, the Canon strap is uncomfortable.

Can someone recommend a decent camera strap that is comfortable? My daughter is nearly 12yrs old. Cheers

With kit lens i.e. limited total weight try the OpTech straps.

Before I went to a Black Rapid sling style I used & trusted OpTech straps on both the kit bag and the camera. They have soft neoprene that is great for spreading the load and reducing pressure on the neck & shoulders.

I was about to recommend the Back Rapid Sport that I used for years, but costs more like £70 - what you linked there looks just as good [providing the materials are good quality] for a hell of a lot less. Might get one myself, sold my sport a while back, not had a strap since but now and then feel I could do with one.

Optech - one of the slimmer ones, and check the length adjustability. Might come in colours? Try Speed Graphic?

Another for Optech been using them for years.

Looked at this, think it would be ok with a D500+70-200 f2.8 ???
Mine seems ok with my Canon 750d and the Sigma 105 Macro which is quite a heavy lens, at the end of the day is it worth a punt?

That one would be too long for her. Want a decent one to replace the kit one.

The one you linked to I think. Shows the person wearing it and camera at waist level
It's adjustable, to be as short as you want.
