now i know this is going sound like a stupid beginners question, but i'm going to ask anyway. when trying to take photo's of animals that are caged, my pictures always end up with the slight blur from the bar of the cage. how do i overcome this problem if at all.

many thanks for any reply's

Use as wide an aperture as you can and get as close to the bars as possible.

You are welcome, hope it is of help to you :D

cheaper lenses like the old sigma 24-70 2.8 (not the macro or the hsm one) often have smaller front elements that you can fit through the bars, seen this done at cage fights
