Hi folks,

Was doing some time lapse photography at the Falkirk wheel - nothing to taxing for a 1D Mark II N I would have thought.

Here is the first frame before any problems arose:

Second frame showing the problem (Area of light in the red circle)

Frame towards the end (Check out the sensor!!)

Happy days :(

P.S Could be worse - still have a pulse :)

P.P.S Until I see the bill...

looks that way. how many shots have you taken on it? mine got replaced after just 15000, for free, since it was way under the 'expected lifetime' blurb they proudly put in the adverts...if its young-ish in that respect then a politely pointed letter canon's way could work in your favour, give it a try - haven't got much to lose

Hi guys and thanks for replying to my thread :)

Just checked and the camera has done 19706 shutter actuations since new which does not strike me as alot so I am going to say that to them and see if I can get it done for free.

Having a CPS membership should ensure a quick turnaround I guess.

Cheers,

Murray

P.S Watching the time lapse of my shutter playing up :)
