See my reply to Rob's thread last year! :D

One of the things that is hardest to get used to is the sudden feeling that you are no longer part of the family. It's nothing conscious or unpleasant on behalf of the others, but you're no longer 'in', you are now 'ex' - and that makes a big difference. It won't have as much impact if you are moving back home, well away from your current quarters, but it may if you still live locally.

You probably won't notice the difference as much overall, but he will especially after a 25 stretch, and one of the other toughies is learning to cope with civvy employers - who will mainly come across as cocks to him for a while.

Good luck with the adjustment to non green life and I hope he's got something decent lined up! :D

All the best to you both, Terri. Hope P manages to readapt to civilised life quickly and doesn't get under your feet too much in the meantime.

Been in our own house now well away fro the patch for a few years now.. got back to uk 12 weeks later in our own house..

if the truth be known i am more worried about how he will cope and how i will cope with him more than me being out of it army wives are a world unto thier own and a world i wanted out of a long time ago, it is a young girls place now not an old fart like me.

i will always be there for anyone that need help and advice, maybe "ex" but sometimes and old head with info helps other times she just babbles.

and on that note thanks guys.. you have all been great with me other the years..

Terrixxx:D

Paracord is the most useful accessory there is!

William always had a length in his pocket, along with his catapult and sweets!

lol.

Seriously, I find it to be so useful. Spare a thought if you want rid of it!

TA!
