Hi guys i have just bought a light tent and want to get some lights to light it (obviously :p)

I have read that daylight lamps are the best to use and the colour temperature given off is more akin to a 'normal' colour.
I only have a small budget (maybe £30), and was wondering if anyone has some suggestions on what to buy?
Or would it be better just to buy some standard lamps from argos, tesco etc and buy daylight bulbls to replace original bulbs?

Also i am looking at buying an off-camera cord to use my flash more creativley and came across this one on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280343599820! any one got any thoughts about thid product?

Cheers
Matt

if there's no daylight involved you can use normal lamps and normal bulbs ie if all light is tungsten set WB to tungsten and its no difference to all light being daylight ;)

oh and the cord will give the same responses to the flash being on the camera so you get manual or ttl or whatever you like

It limits you as to placement though as the cord is quite short
I prefer using wireless triggers to give me more flexibility, but it trades ttl and automatic metering.... swings and roundabouts really.

One thing to remember if you are using tungsten bulbs it to be aware of the amount of daylight that may be illuminating the subject as well. This can give unusual effects.

Also as the off camera cords are coiled, there is tendency for them to destabilise the camera if they are pulled out too far. (The camera and tripod falls over)
