Also the piggy back fused adaptors for car fuse boxes make these REALLY easy to hardwire properly, whilst still being easy to remove.

I've had a Ambarella mini 0801 on my rear window now for 2 years and it is still going strong (touch wood) you, there are newer versions. Video is quite good, you get what you pay for but I've no complaints. the Mini 0801 also has gps if you want to use it, hardwiring with the piggyback fuse holder as Landwomble says makes the job easy. I have a Mobius like this... https://www.mobius-actioncam.com/ it's very good indeed. It's supposed to be an action cam but can easily be programmed to be a dash cam.
