Hi. Dartford's a dump, but I dunno about photogenic locations. Northfleet to Gravesend has some industrial areas.
I have no idea tbh, dont really venture into Dartford that much, if its like everything else, its probably flats now
Photodiva said:Hell I live there, don't bother much except for the footie!! the courts are still there, and some of the buildings are up for sale. Never ventured around it. The old West Hill hospital is now a soulless housing estate.
They've done up the bandstand. There is a kiddies play area that had(?) a wall with graffitti on it, I used it once for a shot, but I think they clean it up occasionally. There's some industrial areas that border the creek where Wellcome's used to be (and where the p8kies blew themselves up and blacked out the whole neighbourhood a few years ago. Most of anything of any interest is boarded up/heras'd off. They knocked down the 'old' cop shop (it wasn't that old or interesting). They've also demolished the old Pharmax site at Bexley - its just rubble. The old prison that used to be a night club is boarded up. You could try the subway if you're after soggy feet and pongy smells.
One suggestion for a photo comp was 'old dartford' but most of it's gone.
In all honesty, the areas in Gravesend that are abandoned are such for a reason. I wouldn't want to give you the location as the chances are we'd never hear from you again!
They are doing a bit of renovation in the area, therefore quite a few shells of council houses where the tenants have been moved on, but they haven't yet been demolished.
You've got the 'haunted' abandoned hospital in Leybourne but again, wouldn't really recommend going down there unless you like needles.
What kind of thing are you after? Can you not manipulate an area you already know to give the results you're after?

Ebilpirate said:Lesnes? I was there a few weeks ago, the groundsmen are very good, so good the place is immaculate. Which ruins it a bit. It gets very busy there with picnic types.
There are probably a few shots on my recent Flickr feed.
