Darkslinger's 52 for 25

Poochtastic ;)

That is a very serious expression! Love the shot, and we others have said, b&w works well!

I had a really strong plan to get all of my commenting and my image in by Saturday...yet here I am panicking on Wednesday...again

Nice set and impressive mountains!

Mountain shot is lovely, the Blues are great.

Nice set and impressive mountains!
Thanks Dave!
Lovely mountains shot Bill. I love the contrast in colours between the foreground and the snowy mountains.
Thank you Pete, I wish that this theme had taken place in September. Those are cranberry fields in foreground and the leaves turn a brilliant red in the Fall.
A nice set! I may have been tempted to go with the ice skating, it just looks colder to me.
Yeah, I agree Paul but I couldn't get a composition that I really liked.
Think you picked the right one, would be cold up there and can’t, usually , beat a landscape
Thanks, Keith, it's actually a 4 shot pano.
Very impressive chosen shot.
Thank you Bob.
British Columbia? I bet that really is cold!
That is a nice vista, captured well and I do like the clouds over the mountains.
It actually hasn't been very cold this winter. I think that we've only had a handful of days below zero and no snow (except on the mountains).
Mountain shot is lovely, the Blues are great.
Thanks John.
Lovely set Bill - I love the landscape shot of the mountains
Thanks Simon, can't beat a good landscape or an image with dogs! :D

Week #3 - Graffiti + Wide Angle (12mm, 24mm equivalent on my camera)

I thought that this kind of made a good almost minimalist shot, and I liked the pop of red from the fire hose connection.
Week 3 - Graffiti 1.JPG
I took my dog down to a local park that's in a kind of sketchy area (nowhere I'd go after dark...).

There is a large industrial company specializing in the production and storage of coarse sand right beside the dog park. The next two images were taken there:

These next two are from nearby under the Pattullo Bridge:

An impressive set. I don't think there is a single shot in there of which I would not be proud.

Yep these all work nicely :)

I really like your chosen shot - but they are all crackers.

Good set, think I prefer the minimalist shot, it’s such a neat and tidy example of graffiti :)

I like your chosen shot best Bill and it's very strong in black and white. The first one runs it close though.

Week #4 - Morning Light

I was away in Mexico for the past week so that, by default, became the subject of my images for this week's theme.

Image #1: A Coati decided to cross my path as I was on one of my morning walks:
Week 4 - Morning Light (1 of 7).JPG

Image #2: I was playing with handheld long exposures and this one one that I liked
Week 4 - Morning Light (2 of 7).JPG

Image #3: I really liked the sun flares that came through on this shot of one of the lifeguard stations
Week 4 - Morning Light (3 of 7).JPG

Image #4: Another handheld long exposure of the ocean and a pier with a thatched building on it (I took a ton of images of this seascape)
Week 4 - Morning Light (6 of 7).JPG

Image #5: I liked how the building in the distance replicates the shape of the thatched umbrellas in the foreground. I almost chose this one as my choice for the theme but the light coming through the lifeguard tower better represented the theme.

A lovely set Bill and I think you've chosen my favourite one for the theme. It works nicely in black & white and the person sat up there adds another element.

I do like the composition of the last shot too.
