Well, alongside my 52 I thought I'd do a '12'. One theme each month and 6 images representing that theme :) I set my own theme for January - a subject I never really have a go at - Transport.

So here is my first submission, and trust me, my interpretation of transport is fairly loose :D.

February's theme has been chosen for me by a fellow TP member and is 'Smoke' :bonk::bang::cuckoo:
 
Completely agree with the fluffy slipper above... number #3 is great! Nice reflection, lovely colours in the puddle, raindrops hanging off the pole thingy. Not overly fussed on the others, and I think you've interpreted the theme VERY loosely, perhaps missing the experience what you set out to gain?

Thanks Lee - I didn't want to emulate the superb transport shots (motorsports etc) we normally see here - just take images that stick to (or interpret) the theme how I see it and please me :) (and maybe a few of you :))
 
Big 'well done' on getting started on this, John - and what a start. :clap::clap::clap:

#1 and 2 I love and what I've come to think of as your 'trade mark' style. Excellent unusual takes on everyday situations.

#3 The colours in the reflection are stunning. Very well spotted.

#4 for some reason reminds me of your frisbee shot in last year's 52. :)

#5 again cleverly spotted - but I hope the bus was stationary, or you'd be in danger of getting run over! :)

#6 Nice contrast to the others and the composure, colours and reflections all combine to make an terrific finale to this set.

I must say for me 1, 3 and 6 are my faves.

All but the VW sign were taken with the 70-200 - not sure why I bother with any other lens these days :D

I have no ideas about smoke :)...yet!
 
A great idea for a personal challenge, and a great start. I particularly like 2, 3 and 6 for their colours and composition.
 
I like all of these for different reasons

#1 I love the flash of colour on the saddle and the close up detail

#2 the weakest of the 6 for but I love the way the shadow falls and you have got great detail in the sole

#3 Reflection really makes this

#4 Great DoF with the focus where it has maximum impact

#5 What a clever shot, and hope you didn't get too wet :D

#6 My favourite, saw it on flickr and it just stood out, great composition :clap::clap:

Now smoke, what did you do to upset this other TP member?

Although I've got some 'stuff' that would fit :naughty:

Smoke.....thats a right pain! :) I'm sure I'll get my own back though :D
