So i've exported an image from Lr cc to my picture gallery and it's definitely darker after it's been exported.
Is there any reason this should happen. It's exported as a jpeg.
I thought this happened on some other images i exported, but put it down to viewing on a different screen (phone and also Facebook).
My monitor isn't calibrated, but this shouldn't make a blind bit of difference surely when viewing the two images on one monitor.
I'm probably doing something stupid.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've taken a screen capture of the 2 images side by side, on the left is the exported one and the one on the right is in Lr.

Perhaps check your colour space settings in the export dialog? I have mine set to sRGB which I think is normal for screen viewing (but I could be wrong!)

You're surely have put the finger on it Dave, the colour space.

Important is that you work and publish is the same. Less obvious
because of the conversion, sRGB is not as wide as RGB and trans-
lates in incorrect tones.

Where you may be wrong, Dave, is the reason why you are in sRGB.
True is that in the beginning on internet, and the less sophisticated
hard and software, sRGB made then sense. These times are well over
and it is ok to use RGB.

My hope is to see the implementation of Pro-RGB in my lifetime! This
will imply a new set of machines and software though… patience!
