Damaged D7200

I'm absolutely gutted. I had my camera (with external flash connected on top) on my passenger seat and had to brake hard. The camera slipped off the seat and because it had the flash on it, it put extra stress on the body when it landed and it got damaged. The camera works fine (bar the wheel on the rear right side being stiff now). The side view picture isn't great but under the wifi logo you can just make out a piece of metal that appears to be broken. Does anyone have a rough idea what this would cost to repair?

Sorry can't help you with a price. Probably best to contact someone like fixation. They can give you an idea from photos but probably need it sent it to be checked over to get a better idea as they may be damage internal.

Thanks Rob. I'm going to email Fixation the pictures and see what they provisionally think. Definitely a lesson learnt

It does look to be unfortunate. Hopefully it's not too much. Are you covered on home insurance?

I'm going to find out tomorrow, i suspect not though.

I'm no expert but it looks fixable, it's come apart rather than bits broken, hopefully someone who knows which screws to undo will make light work of it.
