I'm having a little hiccup when I'm looking at images after being taken on my D800

If I press the zoom in button once on an image, appears as if the camera zooms into a random portion of the image itself and will not allow me to scroll over the remaining part of the image
If I turn the camera off & on again I can zoom in & scroll around the image as normal

Is there a setting I've overlooked somewhere or is the camera being silly?

Thanks
Trev

Is it because you've already/previously zoomed in to a certain point on the image (sort of a memory for zoom, if you like?) before coming out of `review` or turning the camera off?

No if I press the + button on image review - the camera zooms way into the top left corner even if the middle of the image is highlighted - strange one!

Try a reset Trev, this should cure the problem.

Reset your camera to default settings (page 193) in the user manual will show you how to do it and then apply your settings again from scratch.
