Obviously no chance am I going to get my hands on this cheap, but what advice can be given or ways I can get my hands on one quicker ? :)

Have a look here for best deals online, well those within their search engines I guess

Link

Thing is too, I would rather do it by through finance, but I think I may save for a few month lol

ebay has some up for 800-900, they come in from hong kong and sure youll have to wait. I cant see them being fake either, unless someone can enlighten me.

How cheap are you looking for? Is £932.46 all inclusive price attractive enough? :naughty:

have a big clearout at home and get all your unwanted junk on Ebay

Its time consuming but it amazes me what people will pay for stuff

failing that rob a bank !

mathers in bolton are offering the d7000 body only for £949

 Depends if your willing to wait a few months so I can save up for it haha!

Also if it contains the 18-105mm lens too

DigitalRev should still have the D7000 in stock after a few months. No worry about the wait. :D

Perhaps the price will drop to include the 18-105mm lens after a few months, who knows..

Ha ha, that`s why I think I will wait a couple of months :)

Saw one in John Lewis today best part of £1300 with the 18-105 lens I think.

Not cheap but there to collect ? do John Lewis do finance ?

I see you're from Manchester, is there any wilkinson stores local to you? i see theres one in bury. i walked into my local (Southport) store and picked one up with the 18-105mm for £1199  thats in the sale though, i think it should have been £1299

i got one from procamerashop.co.uk, arrived this morning. cost me £948.99 for the body including a 3% deduction for paying by bank transfer. that was payment pre-VAT increase.

i could have got it slightly cheaper on one of the many retailers shipping from hong kong, but wanted to buy and have it sent from the UK for consumer protection/warranty reasons.

in fact, just checked and they've still got it at that price. i got it with NIKKOR 18-200mm VR II for 487.99, can't wait to get home and get my hands on them!

Hi Daniel,
Sounds like you are looking to do the same upgrade as I fancy, D3000-D7000, I almost convinced myself that I would step up to a D90, but I think that I may not be happy with it when I want the D7000 really.
As far as buying one is concerned I would prefer to pay a bit extra and buy within the UK to be sure of warranty issues, like to deal in readies, so may have to be local-ish, would be happy to buy off any that are associated with this forum(if cash payment could be arranged). As far as it goes with getting hold of one 2nd hand, I would be surprised if they start coming up this quickly, but who know's!

Been keeping an eye on prices and whilst I know nothing about camera retailing and margins the D7000 seems to be in much better supply. Also noticed that some retailers that put prices up when VAT went up are now offering the the D7000 below their pre VAT price. Very widely available now for £999.00 which is £50 to £100 cheaper than the same retailers were selling it at before Xmas.....suspect it might start to come down a bit more now there is decent supply. At least I hope so....

Are warehouse express not doing 12 months interest free any longer>?

i got mine from believe it or not simply electronics for £970 with a memory card
