Why, have you noticed the ISO, ISO 5000 and no noise, that's really good, look forward to seeing some more smaples of this.

at what looks like the sacrifice of any detail.
 
To be fair guys, you can't judge the pictures above accuratley, see below:

These are very good, but to be fair, the noise largely disappears when you reduce the image to this size, you can only really judge the noise in the 1:1 image. ;)

These photo's are from a wedding I shot earlier this month, from my second camera body (Canon 30D) and at ISO 1600, which is damn noisy.

The original size images when viewed at around 100% show a load more noise :(

I.E a 100% crop will really show how good the D700 is at handling noise. I'd be very keen to see! I'm planning to get a D3 or possibley a D700 with a bunch of good glass.

:lol: Only as it was a learning curve for me, I made the same mistake and learned from your post mate, I was in the midst of typing a reply saying "Wow!" but then I read the right honourable CT's post!
