I am a novice to photography and have no real knowledge of cameras and kit etc... I have just done my first year of A level and a new lecturer very quickly spotted a problem that I have put down to me being a bit thick....I willl try to explain but no one seems to know how to explain what is happening other than the camera gets confused by external lights flashes ect.
It appears to have white balance or exposure issues as though the sensor is far too sensitive to flash and studio lights
When I try to do high key work its is either completely over exposing and bleaching everything out or it is really grey background but colurs of product not too bad.
When used in full auto is doesn't appear to happen (but can't get the high key effect i want) but in all of the manual settings it doesn't appear to want to work properly. I have tried all different apertures and all the white balance options even auto to no avail.
Is it just a setting that I have de/activated or does it need to be looked at?
