D50 Grip?

What are your thoughts, AFAIK they don't give you the additional shutter release just weight and increased battery time.

Do Nikon make a 'proper' one, with the other shutter for a D50?

Can't recall seeing a proper one from Nikon... stand to be proven wrong though.

I find the vertical shutter buttons on my 350D grip very useful - you may miss those. The 6AA thing is ocassionally useful, but pretty limiting.

The balance is great with a flash and a long lens though. Its less than £50, so if you have a lot of money, buy it and see, otherwise try and find a gripped-camera and hold that to see whether it helps.

That sellers OK, and the grip they make for the 350D (with shutter release) is great.
