D40 Playback Zoom Question

On the D40 when you look at a Picture you have taken in Playback you can Zoom In & Out.....Is there anyway you can look at a picture you have taken.....Zoom in or out abit....then save it on the Camera? I have tried, read the manual and still no awnser

You`re not actually zooming in, the camera is just temporarily cropping the image. To do this in camera, press the ok button when viewing a picture and then select trim. Then you just `zoom` in as normal and then press ok when you`re happy.
