D40 Nooobie with some first shots

Hello All,
I was brought a D40 for by Birthday in November last year cos I wanted to get some good pictures of my kids. Turns out I really enjoy being creative. Here are some of the shots I have done over the past few months. Would really like some honest opinions, although I am a newbie so constructive where pos.
I have a limited understanding of how to use the camera but sure i will have plenty of question in the future.

Hi Andy, welcome to TP

A good selection of opening shots as well. My pic of these would be the first one, I like the movement from the bus and you have done a good job not to blow the lights on the clock. The only thing you may want to do is adjust the horizon a little clockwise as it appears to be tilting to the left a little.
