Going to the Victory Show tomorrow and feeling a bit indecisive.
Lens wise, I'll be taking my 80-200 AF-S f2.8, 300 f4 and TC-14EII teleconverter.
It's only a couple of miles down the road and over the years I've taken one body or the other but can't quite make my mind up this time.
D800 pros; noise handling, dynamic range, large file size can take aggressive cropping
D300 pros; 8fps with grip [vs 6fps with grip for D800 in crop mode], smaller mirror [less mirror slap]
I'm no expert at shooting props and at 1/160 or 1/125s my keeper rate is usually ridiculously low so the 8fps of the D300 would likely yield more keepers than the D800. However, the IQ of the D800 is much better.
Help me make my mind up folks!!!
