I notice Ken Rockwell suggests really boosting the colour settings on the D200
Does anyone do this and if so what are your thoughts ?
Any pic samples would be good also !
Thanks

Does he not shoot only in jpeg though.

If using raw you can do all you need afterwards.

:agree: ... assume you mean boosting them in camera rather than post-processing time ... ... in which case no as I shoot solely in RAW ... :D

:p

I followed his advice on the saturation point as I too like my pictures to have deep colour. However the D200 produces an extremely deep colour with this setting turned up, sometimes to the point of excess. It's all a matter of adjusting settings and seeing how you feel with them after you've taken a test shot.

:p

I meant pp after shooting in raw so no need to boost in camera levels.

I don't because the results are completely unpredictable depending on the WB setting the camera chooses. I've had some shots where the red channel is completely fried and anything with red in it stands out a mile.

I'd rather shoot RAW and then use the LCH tool in Capture NX2 to selectively boost the bits of saturation I want.
