Hey welcome back Cheryl. Hope you feel back to your old self very soon

Glad you're back safe and well - if rather sore.

Take care and make the most of your "you time". xxx

sorry I missed this Mini, glad you're back with us and hope you're sorted now :)

GET WELL SOON!!!

Mini sorry I missed this thread also and hoping your feeling much better soon. Apparently Peppermint Cordial made luke warm helps to remove/absorb the wind.

It was stated to my partner who had her Gall Bladder removed via Key Hole Surgery and within a couple of days she was back to normal without the major pain.

I hope its of some use to you.

Glad to see you're on the mend. Those scars will take some time to heal. I had keyhole surgery and it looked like I had a bit of plastic sticking out of me for weeks. I was quite worried :D Take it easy.

You're right there. After each of my 3 Caesarians I had my pain killers as a warm cocktail with peppermint in...... to help with the excess wind that gets in at operation time!!

Hope you are feeling better Min.... and REST!!!!

Yes - I sent the other half out for some last night... no-where sells it around here :'( I was in agony with chest / shoulder pain and couldn't sit or lie down. It even hurt to breathe. I had to resort to xtra strong mints and a glass of hot water, along with the strongest painkillers I had. Feeling much better today though :)

Take care glad your starting to feel better take it easy.

Glad you're feeling a little better Cheryl!

Not sure if it'll help, but I have stacks of loose peppermint tea here - if you want me to send some your way?

Take care :)

Dave managed to find some peppermint stuff in Holland & Barrett - it's gross, but appears to be doing the job! Thankyou anyway.

Hi Mini, glad to hear your ok with the exception of the wind. My wife had a similar op about a month ago so know how uncomfortable you must be, but it should be gone in a couple of days.

I guess Dave is having to do loads for you so  for him.

Glad you are back and in charge again - chance to take it easy and give the orders! Look forward to all those lovely pictures you will be able to take and post.

Having a really crappy day today :( I guess I'm expecting too much of myself and was hoping to be feeling somewhere near normal by now. I haven't managed to get dressed yet (because my tummy is all swollen and nothing fits :'( ) and can't walk very far without it hurting too much.
The hospital only signed me off sick for a week, so I thought I'd be feeling fine by now. I have to get another sick note from my GP (I was planning on having 2 weeks off sick anyway before my 2 weeks annual leave ;)). I'm not sleeping well, and not eating well..... in fact I don't do this being sick thing very well at all.

 from me too. When I had my knee ligament reconstructed last year, I was all alone and it was rather painful to move it, but I got through it, including cooking and feeding myself. :) You can do it! Be strong and you'll be back to normal in no time.

Sorry you're feeling so rough Cheryl :( I really hope you start to feel better very soon. We've go a curry night coming up  Keep drinking the peppermint

Min - Sorry to hear that you aren't a very good patient  - I guess you'd expect that of a midwife (better at giving orders that taking them :bat:)
How long will you be laid up? If its for a week or two I might have something you'd like to have a play with (photog related you perverts :suspect:)
Let me know & I'll explain further ... Paul

I have a month off work. Am hoping to be pretty much back to normal next week as I have so much still to do for my college project.

Just read this thread minimeeze, hope you are better soon. I can sympathize with you just a bit, I'm working from home beacuse I've got shingles, starting to irratate just a bit now.

Missed this thread, hope you're feeling better each day  ... at least better than the wiki description you posted of your 'girly' condition, which basically gives every sympton as pain and lots of it!

Yep, that's been my life for the last 6 months really, getting worse on a daily basis :( Hopefully now I've had the op, it will start to ease.

I am feeling a little brighter today, thanks - just felt really down and couldn't stop crying yesterday :( although I did force myself out of the house and went to college for 2 hours yesterday evening. I felt so rough, but it was nice just to make contact with the outside world!

Pleased to hear you're feeling a little better today Cheryl

Hey Mini

Sorry I only got in on this thread now...hectic week..

Hope you are getting better and will be on top of the world again soon!

In the mean time have lots and lots of:hug:

Hi Min, glad it all went well. Don't push yourself too hard, too soon...........you're the patient now, so do what you would tell them and take it easy.

(PS: hospitals only allowed to give med certs for 1 week).
