My wife is officially due to have our first baby on the 15th (tomorrow! :D ) She is sitting at home, feet up, seems quite relaxed. I have tried to explain to her that the allocated diary space for "labour" was hard to come by - I have had to cancel a day of shoots. I find it a little bit strange that she can't commit to the date and time...if she had paid a deposit for the slot, she would be loosing it!

Seriously though, please wish us all luck. I am not normally superstitious but after a failed pregnancy *just* before Claire fell pregnant this time, I am scared! Daft I know :)

I know the feeling. Wife due on 11th Oct and already warning bookings in Sept that they may be cancelled at the last minute. Plus I have a stand at a baby show on 19th sept!
 
Have you got a baby scarf ready for the dad & lad/lass combo shoot?
 
Too right it has flown by! - I am sure it has only been like 3 months?!

You'll be fine Gary. My missus was two weeks early so magine my surprise when 'd just settled down for a curry and a beer in front of the V, she phone's from work and tells me he (Charlie is on his way!!!! :)

Good luck and I'm sure you'll get great treatment however the baby is being delivered. If it's a hospital, remember to take a load of change for parking, tea/coffee and get used to feeling like a spare part while the missus gets all the attention :D

Ours has just had his first birthday but has no concept of timing at all! My wife finished work on the Friday (having played rounders!), expecting roughly 2 weeks to get bits sorted but the little wotsit decided that he wanted to be born that Sunday! It was a bit of a shock...

Good luck - totally understandable to be terrified but try to enjoy the experience!

Just to let you all know just back from hospital Skye has arrived not sure which side of midnight but mum and daughter all well if not a bit tired EG is shattered but over the moon although he forgot his camera.

He asked me pass on message nn all im knackered :):clap::clap:
 
Guys,

Skye was born at 11:55pm, 23rd August. 6lbs 12. Excellent set of lungs on her. Mum coped amazingly well - natural birth without medication (other than Gas and Air at beginning). Granny helped with the delivery, she is over the moon too :)

Missing my wee babs already - Hospital told me to **** off home!
