Custom Mount 42 x 8"

Hi,

after several mounts that measure 42 x8", anyone any ideas where i could get them from?

I have a computerised mount cutter, what quantity would you require? Would you be able to collect from West Yorks?
 
wow, great response, but sadly dont think i would be able to collect. How much would you want per mount?

gutted i had a cutter and sold it as i needed some money and wasnt using it, now im regretting that move, its probably gonna be the best option to buy one again i think unless i can find somewhere that does custom mounts
 
Britannia Mountboards are 32in x 42.75in, so would be perfect for your mounts. Also with this size it does not matter if some of the board edges gets a bit damaged, as I just trim down the side first.
 
Good stuff. Not used them myself but thinking about it so will be interested in your views if you decide to order from them.
 
its £38 for frame and mount at the size i want, bit more than i wanted to pay but as a small project it will do, will let you know the quality

So someone is asking where to get something from and I am allowed to tell them somewhere as long as it's not from me - even though mine are cheaper.

listen, you've been warned about this previously, if you're making money from it, you cant do it - it really is very simple, obviously though its not simple enough for you.
 
You're allowed to come here to post as a photographer, and talk about photography.

You're not allowed to come here to pimp your services to make a profit, however good or cheap you think they are. If we allowed that then we would be overrun with people shouting "But I'm the best", or "I'm the cheapest"

It's not that hard.

So basically - when someone asks where to get a 42" x 8" mount from then nobody is allowed to tell them?

There is a world of difference between starting a topic to promote your services and simply responding to someone's request.

Clearly there are cases where someone is just trying to be helpful (as I was) rather than trying to make a load of money. I even gave him a price that was well below my retail price as he was a TP member, I was not trying to pay off my mortgage.

Sometimes moderators don't think before using their buttons of power.

Would you be as kind as to furnish us with the correct response to someone looking for help in sourcing a product? If we are not allowed to refer them to commercial entities then what are we supposed to do?
