Cursor stops when you press Space Bar in CS5

Hi All

Since installing photoshop CS5 on my new laptop, I've noticed that as soon as you press the space bar, the cursor freezes.
This only happens with the scratch pad on the laptop, when I plug in a USB mouse, it is fine.
This isn't a massive problem as I usually use a mouse, but I would like to have the option for editing with the scratch pad without this being a problem.

Any ideas?

The space bar should give you the hand tool (for draging image around) I always use a laptop with a mouse or tablet so I haven't seen your issue.

Yes the hand tool does appear, but then i cannot move the mouse cursor

I would check your settings for pointers etc and your scratch pad..make sure you have not accidentally 'turned' off any options.

Have you try a reset of your options in CS5?

Yes I've checked the pointer options and setting on the laptop and within photoshop. The settings all seem fine, and if I click on the hand tool, there are no issues :bang:
