I have 6 plug-ins for photoshop CS4 all the NIK plug-ins plus noise ninja and noiseware professional. I have copied the folders from CS4 to CS5 but the plug-ins do not appear in CS5. If I go into the settings for CS5 and change the plug-in directory to the same as CS4 it still doesn't work. I have tried re-installing the NIK plug-ins and they are then placed into the CS5 folder but still they do not appear. I had a search on the web and it mentioned switching to 32 bit mode from 64 bit mode but I cannot find the setting to change in the preferences either.....

It is getting annoying having to switch between CS4 and CS5 constantly.

This is on the Mac......

you need to do a 'Get Info' on the Photoshop App in your Apps folder and tick the 'open in 32bit mode'

Arr yes, that sorts it :) Now just to wait whilst NIK etc produce 64 bit versions...

yep, a bit of a wait......

Are you not a Lightroom User? I use niksoft stuff straight from Lightroom, then go to photoshop with the tiff that niksoft creates. Kind of a better workflow and avoids the wait too :)

The NIK stuff works from both and sometimes I will shoot something, transfer it to PS and save as jpg without wanting it in my Lightroom catalogue. It's jus for flexibility.
