When using my new copy of photoshop cs5 i have a very strange problem and im not sure what to do so i am hoping you clever bunch can help me.

When loading a raw file and doin my edit to it ohen i open it, then save to a jpeg the image looks completly different in photoshop to what it does when i open the image again in quicktime.

Any ideas??

But how do i get it accurate and true?
 
Calibrating your monitor and using colour managed software (photoshop is, unsure about quicktime) would get it as accurate as possible.
 
I have a huey procbut it never looks right when i do it......
 
All depends on the quality of monitor, lighting in the environment you work in and the calibration software.

Also, remember, correct doesn't always mean good. In fact, correctly calibrated monitor often looks less contrasty, less saturated and slightly darker than what you might be used to.

But stick to the same colour space all the way through your workflow, from capture to print/web publish. Unless you have a specific needs, sRGB is fine as has been suggested.
 
Many non IPS panel monitors refuse to calibrate correctly.
 
I have a benq 2420hd

Ok so setting up the monitor, when i proof it in photoshop it looks completly washed out after the edit...... Why is this?
