CS4 Settings and Epson printer

I have Epson R300 and R2400 and would like to know the correct settings to use in photoshop CS4 to get an accurate colour match. I seem to have to lighten my photos by about 15% all the time. My screen is calibrated using Spyder 2. Perhaps there is an indepth tutorial somewhere. Epson support do not seem to understand photoshop. Thanks

Sounds like it may be a simple colour management problem. You need to set up Photoshop and the printers to work this way.

Rather than go into details, have a look at the following link. It explains things fully and simply. I have both printers and have no problems working this way.

Small drawback is that it referees to CS3 but 4 is very similar, also it's a Mac system Ian uses but the PC options are nearly identical

You can also use soft proofing and select your paper profile, (untick black point compensation) to get an idea how it will print.
