CS4 'banner'

Hi

I don't know if the term actually is 'banner'. But what I'm after is an action for a 'banner' across the bottom of my photos with my name on it, like Hacker has.

I've googled but can't seem to find anything, also, I've never recorded an action before, so it's a bit scary, so any help on that would be more than brilliant.

Any help really really appreciated.

Search for how to do a watermark as that is what Hacker seems to have done, though his is obviously less opaque than usual.


Though if like what Hacker has done, why not PM him and ask him directly? :shrug:

Hi Lisa, the term that you are looking for is 'Watermark'.

There are loads of ways to achieve the effect, and quite a few guides on here, as well as Google. LR3 has this automated now, from what I understand.

I use a logo rather than a 'banner' so I have it set up as a custom preset under brushes, but it really depends on what sort of look you want to achieve.

Setting up an action is a touch more difficult, especially if you are dealing with different orientations and crop sizes, but different approaches suit different people!
