So i was away on the isle of skye recently and i took a whole load of great pictures but as it stands i have very limited knowledge of photoshop and i was wondering what people could do with an image.



The image itself is pretty large and of a landscape. Does anyone think they can have a play around with it in photoshop and make it look better? And can you also list what you did to it so i can see what sort of things i can try out?

If it helps i use CS3. (might not make a difference between 3/4/5 but i thought i would mention it.)

2 min job in Elements. Mainly dodge and burn.
 
A few mins with Photoscape and GIMP. Tried to clone out the grasses at the loch side but couldn't get the effect right. Looking at it again, I reckon I have gone too far with the sky.

Cut out the sub after roughly drawing around it with the lasso tool, then pasted it onto the original pic. Cleaned up around the sub image with the eraser, then flattened the image, desaturated, then applied various filters.

It's not what you were looking for though, is it? :lol:

Well if we're going to have fun...

Pasted the original onto a Lord of the rings one. Use the magic wand to select and delete the sky, then mess with colour balance & so on until pleased with it.
