help please.
i have used CS2 for two years.
i have had a CS3 disc for one year but never bothered to load it, as CS2 satisfied my soul, so to speak.
now i neeeed CS3, i find the license has expired .... i "acquire" a "new" license number (allegedly), but the clever little bugg€rs at adobe have sussed what i'm up to ... i have removed and reloaded CS3 without success.

any ideas anyone ?

i have now removed first attempts at loading CS3, cleared cookies etc & re-installed.

same result.

Im having the same problem as you as i had been running cs2 on my pc for a while and had cs3 sat on cd rack and i loaded mine today to try and do some touch ups and got the same result that cs3 wouldnt run on my pc at all.
Put cs2 back on and this is running fine again.

Whats cs3 got that cs2 doesnt as it maybe not worth bothering getting it running if not too much difference or something im not going to use.

The two advantages for me with CS3, is the quick selection tool, which makes the Magic Wand redundant. Really easy and quick way to select an object without the selection area jumping all over the place.

The second would be the Camera RAW 4.X. This is a great way to process images, with lots of tools and controls that you simply don't have , or are as easy to use in normal Photoshop. You can even get it to work on jpeg images as well as RAW. You've got to use it to appreciate it.

There are others but these are the onesI use most.
 
black an white conversion with cs3 is much more effective than cs2 IMHO

I have downloaded the 30 day trial and will just buy the upgrade off the net.

Have had it for 4 days now and still (like my cameras:bang::bang::bang:) haven't touched it:rules::shake:
 
i now have CS3 sorted and loaded.

BRILLIANT !
