So, I'm looking for a new camera bag, and am pretty sure that I'm after one of the Crumpler Pretty Boy range (Stupid name :gag:)

My only problem is deciding which one (XL, XXL or XXXL)

My main problem is my Sigma 70-200 f2.8 which I will want to store vertically in the bag. This measures 20cm and the websites say that the internal depth is only 18cm for the XXL or XXXL. Does anyone use the bag to carry this lens? Does it fit nicely, or does it create a real bulge in the top of the bag?

I'd pop into a shop and try it out, but can't find anywhere local that has any stock :'(

Thanks in advance

Phil

I have the XXXL and can fit a D200 and battery grip with a Sigma 28-200 fitted ( lens is 9cm and its about 5cm from the bottom. I also have a Speedlight SB800 ( 18.5cm) and a Sigma 105EX 2.8. That just about fills the main compartment.
I put in my Sigma 70-300, extended to 20cm and the camera/grip/lens, and could close the bag easily.
I reckon as long as you put the lens in, mount up, it should be ok.
Its a great bag by the way.
I had the same problem as you, no suppliers anywhere near me so i was buying blind. I originally ordered a 490 Daily, it was huge. If you think the XXXL might be just a bit too tight, try the Daily range. They look almost the same as the Pretty Boy, just loads bigger

Thanks for that. Looks like I'm going to have to buy 'blind' from the internet. Cheaper, but I'd much rather pop in and try it out.

Thanks again

Phil

Order from somewhere like photosence then if its too big / small you can exchange it for another size.
