Going along to a cross country event this week-end and I want it to be as GRITTY and NORTHERN as it can possibly be. There will be shed loads of mud and hopefully a good splash of gurning. :eek:o_O:ROFLMAO:

I have a Nikon D7000 which I've used at loads of running events and it has been brilliant!

Suggested settings please for the following: ISO Picture Control Raw or Jpeg I want to use black and white for effect.

Lightroom - if I shoot in Raw will that allow me to increase the contrast (obviously light on the day will make a difference) more than a jpeg would.

I do shoot jpeg mostly because of the sheer number of competitors flying by at any one time.

Quite happy for anyone to shoot me down!

Why not use color then process to black and white.. thus you ahve both sets if needed.. if you shoot in black and white you only have one set.... keep your options open is my advice

Shooting in colour BUT want them to look GRITTY rather than SMOOTH. Add noise?
