Getting another go in the studio tonight. Last time a light meter reading gave the settings as f5.6 1/125 at ISO100. Should I use these settings for a cropped sensor camera or do I need to make aperture adjustments to suit the cropped sensor? I know that focal length is x1.6 on a cropped sensor, but how does this affect aperture?

The crop factor is just the field of view.... F5.6 is f5.6 as is 50mm on a crop is 50mm on a FF....http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crop_factor

Go with the settings on the light meter as a base then use your creativity and ajust to your liking

If your taking incident readings in the studio apply good practice of remetering any change you make, highlights can change etc.
