After what seems like forever banging my head against the html/css/jQuery brick wall, I finally have my web site live! It's not complete yet, there are several pages that need content and lots of images that need adding, but I'm over the worst and stuff is being added daily.

I know it's purposely 'minimalist' as I wanted the images to stand out, but your crits would be much appreciated.

Cheers...

the text beneath the images is too small to read on my 22" monitor

The previous/next image under the windsurfer is in Times New Roman and is the only part of the site in that font

Perhaps find a nicer font for the titles/menu. Although minimalist, Arial is too standard/plain, could you use the font that you have used for the text in your image on the left

You currently have 4 different fonts on the page.

The layout looks pretty clean; other than what Dale said, I'd change the order of the images, you describe yourself as a fine art landscape photographer but the 2nd and 3rd images are documentary style portraits which although fine pictures arent 'nice' to look at. They might be representative of your work but if 'fine art' is what you're selling yourself as, then fine art is what you have to show off.
If i'd landed on your site looking to buy a fine art landscape I'd have clicked away before I'd found one.

cheers guys..

Dale... I've dropped one of the typefaces (Times New Roman) and upped the typesize by a pixel, I'm on a 27" iMac, type renders bigger on Macs.

Phil the images are temporarily in that order as I know a publisher who is interested in b/w portraits (who will be visiting the site)... the 'fine art' stuff will be featured at the front end soon.

thanks for your time

Steve
