Hi

I've tried a few times to create the starburst effect when shooting landscapes. Shooting somewhere between f/16 and f/22 I find that sometimes I get it right, and other times not. Are there are any other factors that have a direct effect on whether or not you get that perfect starburst effect? :)

Some lenses do it better than others, also it can get softer at the smallest possible aperture so f16 is normally good.

The angle of the lens towards the light changes things and also you need the sun partly obscured by something. There will be a sweet spot where the sun is poking out from behind something I find.
